Unminus Music is free to use on YouTube and always will be:
Just add this Whitelist-ID to your Video Description: 756E6D69-6E757300
Received a copyright claim for using Unminus Music on YouTube?
No worries — here’s an easy fix:
You shouldn’t get a copyright claim if you add the Whitelisting ID before publishing your video.
But if there’s still an issue or you forgot it initially— no worries, here’s what to do: 👇
How do I fix the YouTube Copyright Claim?
Add the Whitelisting ID"756E6D69-6E757300" anywhere o your video description.
Dispute the claim: → Go to YouTube Studio and Find the video; Click "Dispute" and follow the process (see Screenshots below) → In the “Notes” section write something like: "This video uses Unminus music and includes the whitelisting ID in the description."
Done! The claim will be automatically dropped within 72 hours if everything’s correct.
✔️ No legal stress ✔️ No complicated forms ✔️ You stay monetized
Why did I get a copyright claim?
Here’s what’s happening behind the scenes:
We add Unminus tracks to YouTube’s Content ID system → to protect artists from misuse.
YouTube scans your video and detects the track → but it needs to find the whitelisting ID in your description.
If it doesn’t find the ID, it automatically issues a claim.
Your video may get demonetized or flagged until that’s resolved.
So yeah — it’s not a bug, it’s a system thing as long as we are looking for even more simple processes.
I still got a claim?!
Here’s why it might still trigger:
❌ Claim came from something other than Unminus Music
❌ You made a typo in the Whitelisting ID
❌ You used the music outside the Unminus license → Check the rules
At Unminus, we want to keep things as simple and creator-friendly as possible. You shouldn’t have to jump through hoops just to use good music. No forced credits. No hidden rules. No gotchas.
That’s why our goal will always be:
